Back when I was going to college I had a quick happiness trick.
And it didn’t just work for me but for my best friend Mike W. as well.
After a while we both ended up having the same major in college -Sports Management. We took a lot of our classes together.
And we also got involved in a spiritual group together.
We’d attend all sorts of seminars together. We were practically joined at the hip.
People thought of us like being twins. We were always together and even lived in the same apartment in Highland Park, NJ.
We were so close at times that we could easily read each others thoughts and know what the other person was thinking or was just about to say.
And we both had a trick for making us happy almost instantly. I specifically remember talking to Mike about this and how it always made us happy in minutes.
Actually I had another friend as well in college who knew that exact same trick.
It seemed no matter what that if we did a certain kind of meditation that within 5 to 10 minutes we’d be feeling on top of the world.
If I had troubles at work I’d use this exercise as well.
And back in my college days I had some heavy duty self-esteem issues. But I could always rely on this exercise to uplift me even in the face of adversity. And even in the face of my many hangups and personal issues at the time.
In fact, I used this meditation to survive my 6.5 years of depression as well.
Just note if you have something physically wrong with you that is causing your unhappiness or depression this technique may not work as well.
Like when I had the depression it was hard to feel happy but at least I was able to survive. Without this meditation I’d almost certainly have been out on the streets homeless.
Without it I just couldn’t cope at all with my painful emotions.
So even in my darkest days it really helped me.

In fact, Karmyn used it (in a different way) to eliminate back pain she was experiencing. When she did this the pain disappeared. When she stopped doing it the pain returned. She was amazed at how well this worked.
And we use it to put my two and a half year old daughter Rainbow to sleep at night or when putting her down for a nap.
It knocks her out faster than anything else we’ve tried.
