People who are into a healthy lifestyle usually ASSume that colonics are a safe way to detox your body and clean out your colon at the same time.
Me personally, I don’t agree.
I’ve written about the dangers of colonic irrigation in the past.
What people don’t seem to realize is that shoving a lot of water up your colon is not natural. It can potentially have devastating consequences.
I love the line I once heard at a raw food meeting I went to.
“You never see a bear going to a waterfall and sticking his behind directly into the falling water.”
Did you know that several people have died directly as a result of doing colonics?
You can look up that stat yourself on the Internet.
Also I’ve heard from an alternative health and nutrition educator that I know that there are people who get severe damage to their colons and elimination system just after doing 1 to 7 colonics.
He knows because these people where people he worked with directly.
For instance, he spoke about one woman who could not go to the bathroom on her own after just doing one colonic. For the rest of her life she became dependent on enemas and or colonics to even be able to go number 2 at all.
For other people it might take 3 to 7 colonics but yes the damage has happened in that few colonics.
Sure damage this severe might never happen to you, but do you want to take that chance?
Then there was this guy I was coaching many years ago to help him to go raw.
Well he bought into the whole colonics thing and he paid colon hydrotherapy expurt to do some of the supposed safe or gravity based colonics.
Very soon after he did those colonics he had two hernias.
And he suspected that it was the result of doing the colonics.
* Everyone Assumes That the Only Way to do this is by Flushing Water Up Your Butt
The question nobody seems to be asking is, “is there another way to get the benefits of a colonic without the dangers”?
Of course, many people resort to doing cleanses with harsh ingredients like psyllium husks that actually scratch the delicate lining of the colon.
Obviously that’s not the safest thing to do for your colon either.
But what if there were another way to get the cleansing and detoxification results of doing a colonic only it was totally safe?
Let’s analyze this for a second.
Colonics work by flushing water into your colon. It’s a mechanical cleaning and pressure action that removes any excess junk you may have lodged in there for who knows how many years.
But what if there were another type of non-invasive mechanical action that could do the same thing but with complete safety?
What if you could shake the colon?
Might that not work?
And what if you could spin the colon in a certain way?
Might that not possibly make it so that any loose fragments stuck in your colon are loosened so that they can be easily eliminated in a bowel movement?
Well I’ve personally found that both of those movements stimulate bowel movements in excess of what you’d normally do.
But one is more powerful than the other.
To illustrate let me share this story for you.
* Rama Story in Hawaii, Summer of 2011:
A few years ago I had my friend Rama visiting me in Hawaii.
Earlier in the day I was raving to him about this special exercise I was doing and how it seemed that I was having a lot more bowel movements since I started doing this exercise.
Then later in the day I asked him if he wanted to see me doing the exercise?
He said yes and we went up to my room where I showed him how I did it.
The interesting thing was that before I did the exercise I had no desire to go potty.
Yet just ten seconds into the exercise I stopped (after being less than half way done) because I “all of a sudden” had a strong urge to go number 2. Of course, Rama thought that was hilarious.
What I realized is that I started eliminating very often BUT only after I made a change to how this exercise is typically taught.
Many times my stools would be tiny and liquidy and even greenish in color.
So I know it wasn’t my regular bowel movements.
Something extraordinary was happening.
What is this exercise?
It’s an exercise that I’ve read about over the course of many years in 4 different books and or ebooks that I have. This exercise is claimed to have strong anti-aging and healing properties that activate and regulate your endocrine system and your energy centers or chakras.
These exercises are supposedly done in Tibet by the lamas there.
But I never got the colonic like results when I followed the instructions in any of those programs.
I only got that effect when I experimented on my own.
I did what I was told I shouldn’t do in some of the books.
But when I did the forbidden thing, all of a sudden magical results started happening. Of course, the natural colonic was not the only benefit.
The only problem was I stopped doing this exercise for several years.
I suppose the fact that I’m always experimenting with new exercises got me distracted from doing it.
Also the fact that the way I used to do the exercise took a rather long time and doing it several times throughout the day and therefore I just stopped doing it after a while.
It was too much to keep track of.
But about 7 weeks ago I started doing this magical exercise again.
This time I made many more experiments.
And I found a way to get it done lickity split. In fact, I have not missed a single day of doing it since I restarted.
For instance, I did this non-strenuous exercise this morning in just two minutes and thirteen seconds.
Usually that’s enough for the entire day.
But just before I went to write this email I felt the tiniest urge to go potty which was annoying me. But it was not nearly enough for anything to come out.
So I went and did the Forbidden Tibetan Energy Exercise for about 50 seconds and what do you know?
Two minutes later I was able to easily go number two.
The urge became a lot stronger.
I’m telling you this stuff really works.
I feel so clean inside as a result.
And it’s just common sense if you think about it. It’s a mechanical action that forces the gunk in your colon loose.
Yet I never heard of anyone teaching how to get a natural and safe colonic by doing what I’m doing.
Well guess what the main topic of the first month of the Superbeing Infinite Potential Club is going to be?
That’s right… The Forbidden Tibetan Anti-Aging, Healing, Potty (LOL) and Energy Exercise.

P.S. Here are some links which prove that people have indeed died and experienced painful and negative consequences due to doing colonics. While I may not agree with everything stated in these articles (since they often site the medical profession as their source of authority and I’ve been teaching for years how corrupt the medical system actually is) it does not mean that everything being stated is incorrect.
Certainly it’s quite obvious if you look at these resources that a number of people have died and or ruptured their colons due to doing colonics. There are even specific people named in the links below who died as a result of doing a colonic(s).
Please, please, please due your own due diligence before ever even considering doing colon hydrotherapy or colonics.

Roger,
First, I appreciate some of the things that you are up to and the passion that you are doing it! I do appreciate that you have strong personal beliefs that you are completely entitled. However, you are presenting an entire profession as a singular entity and quoting that there have been “deaths” from colonics as a norm, which is ENTIRELY untrue. The “fear” factor that you are portraying here is incredibly misleading. If clearing of the bowel was dangerous then every single person that received a colonoscopy procedure would also die or have messed up bowels. Here is the thing, there are different methods for colonics. There are also different techniques performed for different types of treatments as well and there are protocols. In fact, Barton Hospital in Tahoe has an entire division of RN colon therapists on staff. Feel free to look that up as well as the patient satisfaction with the process as opposed to other methods for clearly the bowel.
I personally use a “slo-fil” method, which is focused on hydration and in alignment with each persons individual peristalsis. There is no shoving or force at all as you so violently describe. EVER!!!
I know many colon therapists and none of them shove or force.
Clearly you have a product and service to sell and feel the need to attack a positive and viable option for people to use to improve their colon health. I invite you to read “Clean” by Dr. Junger, a cardiologist who is an advocate for colonics during periods of cleansing, citing scientific evidence and his own experiences of true health beginning in the colon and endorsement for colon therapy.
For some, colonics may not be an option. As with any and all processes, including surgery, medications, supplements or certain types of even exercises and even different foods, each person must evaluate their own health and goals and see what works. As a professional, I help evaluate each client for contraindications prior to treatment and include a prescription from their physician as well as ongoing communication with their provider for the best outcomes for each client.
Going forward, I would caution you to clearly gather all the facts before slamming a profession so lopsidedly. You do loose credibility as well as generally turn off potential referrals. I focus on bio individual health and could refer clients to you for the coaching that you provide for exercise and motivation because I do feel that you have some value to offer. However with your ranting against colonics, that makes it difficult. I have had 100′s of clients that have had huge improvements in there health with the addition of colon health including treatments with colonics, it is difficult and disappointing that you are so strongly opposed when clearly, you haven’t experienced nor truly spent any time with a therapist and learning about the true process that a majority of us follow.
I understand you marketing tactics and being negative does tend to sell, one simply needs to turn on the news to understand that. Personally, when I signed up for your site and read what you have to offer, I expected a positive and uplifting motivator.
I practice reiki, I understand energy and the effects on the body. I understand emotional as well as physician release as well as that connection to the breath. It’s a matter of flow and there is no “secret” to better bowels care. It is unique to the indiviual.
So I invite you over to Internal Wisdom, the next time you are in Northern CA for a visit. Really see what a professional colonic and services with a professional health provider can do for you. Perhaps clear your thinking on the subject or at least provide you with a bit more insight to your current experience for colon therapy.
With professional respect and in alignment for promoting health for people and the earth,

Thanks for your comment Rachael and taking the time to reply.
Please realize what you have said does not change the fact that colonics have been proven dangerous on several occasions. And that of course was my main point.
This is something people need to know before they consider taking a colonic no matter how safe the method supposedly is. Because no matter what it is an invasive procedure.
The person I was coaching who got the hernias (right after taking some colonics) was using a so called safe method of doing colonics. I even went to a presentation of that guy who did the colonic for him in NYC. They try to make the case that there have been problems for some people doing colonics but it’s because they used some kind of inferior equipment. Whereas they are not forcing the water into the colon but using some gravity based equipment.
And there’s no question in anyone’s mind that doing a colonic can kill intestinal flora.
Also there is a lot of misrepresentation of the facts in this general field of work including scaring people into thinking their colons are completely lined with gunk. Sure they may have outpocketing but that’s far different than what is being claimed by the people pushing the colon cleanses.
Sure in an emergency you need to check your options. You have to weigh rewards with risks.
And for years I’ve been warning people of the possible negative side effects of doing colonics. So this is nothing new for me.
Even Dr. Herbert Shelton who used to do colonics for his fasting patients later realized that their health improved better if they did not have the enervating colonics during the fast. And this was after doing thousands of fasts with colonics.
Of course, I’ve also criticized the fasting profession as well. As it has been proven quite dangerous. Especially if you go to the wrong people to supervise your fast. Yet these fasting “professionals” will do their talks and tell you how safe it is to “fast with them” while never mentioning all of the people who died as a result of fasting with them.
Funny thing, this comment just came into me via email.

Hi I just subscribed to your website.
I have been suffering bowel problems for many years and have to rely on laxative teas. Without the teas my bowel movement will completely stop for days even a week. Even with detoxes I think it’s made it worse.
===
Now I don’t know if this person did colonics or not but certainly she did some kind of detox method that has seemed to only increase her problem and make her more reliant on something outside of herself to be able to just go to the bathroom.
My job is to help improve the health of people who read my emails and websites. If there is a particular profession that can hinder a person’s health then I will say something about it.
It’s unfortunate how many people are ignorant of how to improve the health of their bowels. There are other physical exercises that I have not even mentioned that are highly effective at eliminating constipation.
It’s just like the situation that most people would simply not need chiropractors if they were aware of the exercises they could do to properly align their backs. And I know this information directly from a chiropractor. We’ve actually shot some videos on how to do those exercises.
He told me there would be little need for his services if people did the kinds of exercises he regularly does for his spine.
Roger
